About the game
Garden Wars is a 2D pixel-art team shooter with MOBA-style lanes, played in a web browser. Two teams of gardeners each defend a house at one end of a hedged lane, while waves of blueberry and tomato minions march from both bases to clash in the middle. Players start with a pistol and pick up stronger weapons, from miniguns and flamethrowers to a railgun and an atom bomb, out of supply crates that drop into the jungle. A team wins the round by destroying the other team’s base. The jungle beside the lane is hidden under fog of war and holds creature camps that grant power-ups, and bosses whose defeat empowers the victor’s minions. Gold earned during a round buys damage upgrades and giant minions. Matches range from one-on-one to five-on-five, plus a three-way mode on a triangular map, and can be played online in ranked matchmaking, in private rooms with friends, or against bots.
