About the game
Wizards Never Lie is a four-player online social deduction game set in a members-only club for wizards that stands in the space between worlds. Four players take seats at one table in first-person 3D, where nothing anyone claims can be verified — the round settles it a few seconds later, in front of everybody. The house keeps four games: Revolvers, Hidden Figures, Cards and Poison. All four share one set of actions — Ask, Declare, Check — so the rules carry from one game to the next, and a single evening may only get through two of them. Any claim can be challenged with a Check at any moment, but each player holds only a few: catching a liar pays, and accusing an honest one costs. Every claim a player makes goes on a public record, the Truth/Lie Trend. A long run of lies builds a streak and a readable pattern; a long run of honesty makes the first lie harder to see coming. The table talks on three channels. Each player’s live webcam sits above their seat — optional, off until the player turns it on, and never scored; it changes what the table believes and nothing else. Voice chat is available and not required. A wand draws glowing glyphs in the air for accusations, warnings and jokes, so no shared language is needed at the table, and the game ships in 14 languages. Free Table mode removes scoring entirely, for players who want to sit, talk and take in the club.
