About the game
Young Suns is a narrative-driven life sim for one to four players set in the Jovian System, where the people of Jupiter have just broken free from corporate control. Entrusted with your own spaceship, you fly to fantastical moonlets, derelict ruins, and converted space stations, alone or with up to three friends, salvaging broken furniture, clothing, and tools to repair and keep, gift, or donate to the common good. Along the way, you build relationships with a cast of 30 characters and help the different Jovian factions rebuild society, in a story with a radically optimistic outlook that focuses on the work that comes after liberation. Your ship doubles as your home, and it can be painted, furnished, and rearranged solo or with friends using the recipes, souvenirs, and items collected on your travels. Your character’s appearance can be changed at any time, tools can be upgraded to take on harder jobs, and the ship itself can be expanded. The story continues to evolve over time, with the world changing in response to the actions of the player base.
